TMEA 2012 Convention
The 2012 TMEA Convention was a great success! Our booth (Jair Klarfeld Music/Performers Academy) had a high volume of visits over the 3 day event. The days provided me an opportunity to meet with current clients as well as meeting new customers and discussing for their marching band show. It was cool to meet directors from 2A schools to 5A schools.
Not only was the traffic in the booth great, but I got to meet some wonderful musicians performing in a bassoon ensemble next to my, and a tenor sax player playing in another booth as loud as I can play my trumpet. The guy good play!
The most interesting trend that I saw concerning music being chosen for the HS marching band shows, was the director’s desire to have a melody in their music!! What a refreshing thought.
Thanks again to all the dedicated teachers, musicians, and former students for coming by our booth and sharing a part of their TMEA experience with us.
Now – time to get writing again!!
New Website is up and running.
KUDOS:
Thanks goes to Debra Laizure (www.laizuremarketing) and Carlos Moreno/Trisha Salas (Auryen Creative) for all their hard work and patience in designing, consulting, and educating me in the new world of WordPress.
PURPOSE:
This website format provides me many opportunities to:
- Inform you about our music services (Compose, Arrange, Music Engraving, etc.)
- Display a variety of our competition show for marching band and Indoor Percussion.
- Share with directors a variety of “tips” from master teachers in our field that could assist directors ranging from first year teacher to experienced teacher. My skills as a teacher, musician, and composer/arranger continue to grow thanks to the countless people that were willing to share their knowledge to help me help my students learn and perform better.
2012 …… here we come!
